Sayan Chakraborty is the founder of the company. He is 25 years old and is from Kolkata. He along with his other two friends started this business during college days from their own kitchen by providing sandwich delivery service. He wrote the book “Bangali byabsha korbe” or “Bengalis will do business” was regarded by sir Ratan Tata.

In any happy moment, sweets are always a great part. But when it comes to making sweets a part of the business then nobody accepts it. For middle-class people eating food outside sometimes can go out of budget. To solve all these problems and improve the dining experience of middle-class people here is the solution WTF. WTF or Where’s the Food is a budget-smart restaurant chain. It is available in 4 locations in Kolkata. About 75% of the products of the menu items have standardized pricing. Within the same price proper food, hospitality cutlery and ambience is available which is as good as any other restaurant. Hence their caption is ” the restaurant of middle-class people”. They have made a ready-to -sauce which could disrupt the food industry. The capacity of each restaurant is 18 to 20 seaters.

WTF Sales And Revenue

CapEx for a restaurant is 4 to 5 lacs. The cost of general dishes is ₹149, the cost of every fish dish is ₹199 and the cost of every is ₹249. Sales per outlet per month is ₹5 to ₹5.5 lakhs. Net profit is 30% of sales. The projected sales in FY 22 to 23 is 2 crores. Out of total sales 80% is from restaurants and 20% is from home delivery. Table turnover is 30 to 45 minutes.
