Cremeitalia Founder

Rajesh Dhote is from Mumbai. He was studying in London. His family has a printing and packaging business. He was in a job for 10 years in London. After that he felt that he should start something new of his own.
He approached a friend of a friend and got the idea from him, who is one of the co-founders of the company.

About the company Cremeitalia

We consume cheese with vada pav, sandwich, pasta, pizza etc but the cheese which is being used is full of added flavours and colouring. This doesn’t give you any satisfaction. So in order to serve the demand of cheese in India Rajesh came up with his company Cremeitalia. Cremeitalia is a brand which makes fresh cheese from fresh milk which is natural and tasty. They are available across 220 stores and 18 cities. The products which are available :

  • Jalapeno sour cream
  • Burrata
  • Scamorza etc.

Burrata is their highest-selling product.
Talking about the shareholding pattern, Rajesh and his co-founder have 31.15% each. 15% is of stakeholders, and 11.2% is of others. The company raised 1.3 cr. at a pre-money valuation of 7 crores. The second round was of 4.5 crore rupees at a pre-money valuation of 22 crore rupees. The company is setting up a bigger plant which will maximize their productions. They will launch cheese dips in recent years. 50% of orders come from restaurants. The price of Burrata is 335 per pack and Bocconcini Cherry is Rs. 245 per pack.

The company raised 1.3 cr. at a pre-money valuation of 7 crore. The second round was of 4.5 crore rupees at a pre-money valuation of 22 crore rupees. The current monthly sales is 62 lakhs rupees per month. The return to vendor value is 7%. The net profit is 9 lakhs out of 65 lakhs sales value. The fresh cheese market is 120 crore rupees in India. Gross margins for HoReCa is 30-35% and for retail, it is 50%. The net margin is 21%.
